17: PR in Church Institutions

Place: European Centre of Communication and Culture (ECCC)
Dates: 7–18 November 2004
Participants: The course is addressed to people responsible for creating the public image of church institutions, their internal and external communication, contacts with the mass media.
Number of participants: 14 (Belarus, Ukraine, Russia, Armenia)
Working language: Russian

Aims of the course:
To learn and practise principles and strategies of creating internal and external relations of an institution/organization with different social groups using modern technologies and the mass media;
to be prepared for effective communication in crisis situations (crisis management);
to develop one’s skills in the sphere of a public appearance and media presence.  

Course programme:Identification of internal and external target groups, and communication strategies; Creation of the public image of an organization/institution, as well as people who represent it; Preparation for a public and media appearance; Development of contacts with the mass media; Creation of communication strategies for crisis situations;Know-how of a PR-officer of an organization/institution;Modern technologies in Public Relations and Media Relations
