18: Training Course for TV and Film Cameramen

Place: European Centre of Communication and Culture (ECCC), Warsaw, Poland
Dates: 23 November – 6 December 2004
Participation in the festival Camerimage in Lodz from 28 November till4 December 2004
Participants: Young TV and film cameramen,reporters who can do also the job of a cameraman.
Number of participants: 10 (Belarus,Ukraine, Moldova)
Working languages: English, Russian and Polish.

Aims of the course:
ECCC givesyoung creators of the TV and film image a possibility to broaden theirprofessional skills, to get familiar with the newest trends in theworld art of cinematography, to reflect on their personal development.

Programme of the course:
Master classes forpracticing different aspects of visual image on the basis of TVtechnology; Analysis of various genresand their ability to present spiritual dimension of life;Viewing of feature films andstudent films at the festival Camerimage 2004 (http://camerimage.pl/);Meetings with masters ofcinematography and discussions on the state of the world art ofcinematography (Camerimage festival);Overview of new products inthe sphere of a TV and film technology (Camerimage festival);Presentation and discussionof the work of the course participants;Realization ofetudes/training materials adjusted to participants’ needs; Time for personalreflections, prayers and individual talks also on spiritual themes

Lecturers, trainers:
Workshops andmeetings in Warsaw-Falenica were conducted by Polish experts, and astay at the Camerimage festival gave a possibility to meet outstandingfilmmakers and TV producers from all over the world.
