Training course objectives:
increasing practical professional and creative qualifications of the course participantshelping course participants define a character of a journalism they want to deal witpreparing course participants to confront challenges brought about by quick changes in the world of technology, politics and global economydeveloping sensitivity to a scope of issues which journalists should bring up in their worksetting presented socio-cultural issues in the context of the Holy Gospel and social teaching of the Churchsetting contacts with colleagues from similar journalistic environments in other parts of Europe; participation in the mutual inspiration and cultural exchange between the course participantsgetting acquainted with possibilities of securing personal activity from corrupt interpersonal connections and institutional structures preparing participants for the role of multiplicators sharing the acquired knowledge, practical skills in their own environment outlining possibilities of further professional formation and cooperation
Methods:
work in small (3-4 persons) groups on the whole process of preparation, realization and production of a TV reportage develops practical skills, helps experience the influence of engagement and limitations of each member of a group (change of roles), as well as experience conditioning of the final effect on the quality of planning and each member’s performance during different production phaseseach of the group had all the necessary documentation, logistical, technical and human resources at their disposal; each group stayed under the supervision of an expert in the field of a TV productionextra lectures, meetings and workshops broadened knowledge and practical skills necessary for the realization of certain production phases, as well as opened up a wider context of media activitymoreover, the course participants got acquainted with the basic information on the culture and history of the course venue: Poland and Warsaw
